Broncos Novice Wrestling
The Montville Broncos Novice Wrestling program is open to all children in grades 1-8. It is designed to help every wrestler learn, love and excel in the sport. Over the season, kids build skills, strength and agility while having fun, with a focus on proper fundamentals and technique. Novice practices two days a week and competes in the King of the Mat (KOM) league on Saturday mornings, finishing with the end-of-year KOM League Tournament.
Broncos Varsity Wrestling
The Broncos Varsity team competes in three competitive leagues: the K-8 Tri-County League, the K-6 Northwest League, among the toughest youth league wrestling in the state, and Future Stars, a developmental league for those looking to make the next step towards Tri-County and Northwest. Varsity practices at least three times a week, wrestles weeknight league matches, and competes in weekend tournaments and matches. All three leagues end with individual tournaments, and our past league champions are honored on our championship boards and on this site. Our goal is to build on each wrestler’s skills and technique and find success at the youth level, preparing them for a great career at Montville High School and beyond. We've had many Montville alumni go on to excel in Division I, II and III collegiate programs, and a former Montville Broncos youth wrestler featured on the US Men's Freestyle World Team.
